CHOOSING A
HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL
When
choosing a healthcare professional, you need to
first evaluate your position on what you want them
to accomplish. Do you want someone to simply help
manage your pain with drugs or surgery or are you
looking for a practitioner who aims to eliminate the
root cause of your health complaint.
Following are characteristics you can consider in
your evaluation.
Suggested characteristics to AVOID in a healthcare
professional:
-
Does not thoroughly investigate your body and
health through blood tests and other physical
studies.
Is not a good listener.
Is
not keeping up with the most current health
research.
Does
not have a plan to heal your body.
Does
not include proper nutrition and supplementation in
your health plan.
Relies on drugs as the primary means of treatment
Suggested POSITIVE characteristics in a
healthcare professional:
- Is thorough in his or her investigation of
your health by means of lab tests and other
studies of your body.
- Is a good listener and shows you respect.
- Is keeping up with the latest health
research.
- Has a plan to help you achieve optimal
health.
- Helps you set goals to improve your health
through nutrition, lifestyle changes and
appropriate treatments.
- Does not rely on drugs when there are other
options, showing restraint in their use.
Recommends surgery only when needed.

May you choose a doctor who can truly help you!
